Chelsea Clinton recently said she gave up her friendship with Ivanka Trump, and the reason why is just as you might suspect: Ivanka's father, President Donald Trump.
The daughter of the infamous Clinton family explained her argument and called Ivanka "accomplices" in her father Donald's bigotry.
Clinton: "I don't want to be friends with someone like that."
During the 2016 campaign, Chelsea Clinton said she was still friends with Ivanka Trump after being friends for years.
While both lived in New York, they were known to have double dates with their husbands.
At the time, Clinton had said that despite their "very different views" about who should be president, their friendship did not affect their friendship.
Both daughters have been involved in their parents' presidential campaigns, with Chelsea introducing her mother Hillary to the DNC and Ivanka introducing her father to the RNC that year.
However, when she spoke to Andy Cohen about "Watch What Happens Live," she confirmed that it was no longer and it had not been for a long time.
Clinton told Cohen that she has not spoken to Ivanka since 2016.
"I have no interest in being friends with someone who is not only complicit, but actively participates in this administration's day-to-day collision of cruelty and incompetence," Clinton said:
We were in touch at the beginning of the campaign, but it's really difficult when there is someone who is actively hugging their candidate, whether it is his father or not, who is dealing with racism and sexism and anti-Semitism and Islamophobia and homophobia and transphobia and not Conspiracy theories and lies, and is so fundamentally corrupt.
At some point, I don't think they're the same in any way, but I think she's more than complicit as anyone who, by definition, has worked for him for this long, and I don't want to be friends with anyone like that.

The President doesn't care "actually saving American lives"
Chelsea Clinton also recently spoke about Ivanka's father, President Trump.
She described the president in a podcast with Jemele Hill as "racist, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic, misogynist, transphobic people".
“I knew it was going to be a Hall of Secrets because he told us so much about what he was going to do. But the collision, like the cruelty and the bigotry that has defined him all his life, like incompetence, is devastating, ”Clinton continued.
President Clinton's daughter also did not save her vitriol for the mighty. She went after Trump voters:
Even if you only "voted because (you) wanted a tax cut," President Trump would still be "given a lot of power to manifest these hateful, bigoted values in the world."
Chelsea Clinton shared her open thoughts about Trump and his response to the coronavirus, calling him an "incompetent" leader who "appears to be cruel". # Debates2020https: //t.co/ikpdy5L33J
