Trump won't admit. He won't admit defeating, and the White House is considering intervention to get him out.
Now the people around Trump are working to find out who can tell him the dire reality. There was talk of possibly Jared Kushner or Ivanka Trump, although their willingness to lead a difficult intervention was not clear.
One idea that is being circulated is to have potential conversations with Trump about the idea of preserving his brand for a lifetime after he becomes president – and explaining that pulling out an election he clearly lost ruin his business and prevent any political future he hopes for.
Trump clearly denies. He refuses to accept his fate as a failed president with a term. It comes as no surprise to anyone that Trump needed intervention to get out of the White House. Never in American history has it taken so much intervention for a president to do basic things.
Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump will never be the voices of reason. They are two of Donald Trump's greatest enablers. There's a reason Trump picked them to be next to him in the White House, and that's because they don't have stings of their own and will do anything to please Trump.
