Dr. James Phillips said he has no regrets after being removed from the Walter Reed rotation for criticizing Trump’s COVID joyride.
Dr. Phillips tweeted:
Today I worked my last shift at Walter Reed ER. I will miss the patients and my military and civilian staff – they have given me overwhelming support. It’s an honor to have worked there and I look forward to new opportunities. I stand by my words and have no regrets.

Trump does not use his last days in office to help the American people, but to reward criminal loyalists with pardons and punish critics. There is no score too small for Trump to abuse the president’s power to get settled.
At the time of the Superspreader Joyride, Dr. Phillips: “This President’s SUV is not only bulletproof, but also hermetically sealed against chemical attack. The risk of COVID19 transmission inside is as high as outside of medical procedures. The irresponsibility is amazing. My mind is forced to gamble with the Secret Service. “
One of the enduring legacies of the Trump years will be that when the vast majority were confronted with their first desire to become authoritarian president, the vast majority did not get in the way of their threats.
The majority of Americans opposed Trump and showed him their power by electing him out of office in record numbers.
