The White House is considering giving Trump a red carpet, military band and 21 gun salute if he leaves DC on January 20.
CNN’s Jim Acosta tweeted:
Trump’s departure ceremony at Joint Base Andrews on the morning of the 20th is expected to be like a departure event for state visits, according to an administrative official familiar with the planning. Color Guardians, Military Band, 21 Gun Salute, and Red Carpet are currently being considered for the event.

A more fitting farewell might be 21 federal marshals with guns drawn who take Trump into custody on Jan. 20 at 12:01 p.m., but the fact that the White House (Trump) is considering this idea shows how deep the delusion is with it soon goes to be a former president and his administration.
From Ivanka Trump’s lingering fantasies of being the first woman president to Trump’s thoughts that he deserves a farewell akin to a state visit, the Trumps clearly fail to understand that they are leaving as shamed villains rather than heroes of a nation.
It’s over, but Donald Trump is still trying to live like a king instead of the shame for the nation he always was.
