Left-wing protesters riots in Portland and Seattle on Biden’s inauguration day

Left-wing protesters with anti-Biden signs marched through the streets of Portland Wednesday night while further demonstrations took place in Seattle. The Oregon Democratic Party headquarters was damaged in Portland.

According to police reports, around 150 people sprayed anarchist symbols and smashed windows in Portland. Some of the protesters carried a sign that read: “We don’t want Biden, we want revenge!”

At one point, officers on bicycles went into the crowd to confiscate a pole attached to a banner, fearing the pole could be used as a weapon.

Police were forced to put smoke canisters on top of the crowd, which threw objects at officers.

Eight people arrested after the Democratic Party headquarters in Portland, Oregon were devastated hours after President Biden’s inauguration.

Washington DC In Lockdown

The mob violence contrasted sharply with the unprecedented lockdown of the nation’s capital in preparation for President Joe Biden’s inauguration.

After violent protests in the Capitol two weeks ago, some 25,000 National Guard troops had been drafted, fences had been erected around the National Mall, and Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser prevented anyone from coming to Washington for the inauguration.

Outside Union Station, the city’s train terminal, National Guard troops stood with rifles behind barbed wire fences that sealed off Capitol Hill.

There was no threat or protest.

Seattle residents are fed up

With protests, demonstrations, and damage seemingly endless in sight, many Seattle residents have had enough.

Anita Perry says, “It’s just so frustrating. This city is dying because of these people. We die. It used to be a beautiful city, it used to be a great place to live. “

Another resident, Angeliqu Harbin, complained, “It’s hard to see. We love our neighborhood. And this is a place that people come to – it’s a great destination. It just makes me sad to see the window look like this. “

Perry says she is trying to sell her home and leave Seattle. “It’s not really worth it anymore. I just feel shaken, all shops are closed – what I moved here for is nothing anymore. It’s really sad.
