It’s not too often that a GOP lawmaker appears on CNN or MSNBC. So it was a bit of a surprise to see New York Freshman Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis on Erin Burnett’s CNN show.
Malliotakis spoke of her hopes of working across party lines with Democrats. This proved insincere when the New York Rep. Questioned the election results on Jan. 6.
Burnett hit her for this hypocrisy and asked, “C.ongresswoman, of course you objected to the results in Arizona and Pennsylvania when Congress certified them on the day of the deadly uprising. So how can you say you want to work with President Biden when you questioned the legitimacy of the elections on January 6th? “
Malliotakis replied: “Surely my constituents have raised concerns about irregularities “and later said,” I think there is a problem that there are tens of millions of Americans who are concerned about whether there are safeguards in our electoral process. “
“T.You’re concerned about lies like that, ”Burnett replied. “We are concerned about such lies. That’s a lie. They heard that. If I heard this and believed it, I might be concerned too. But it’s not true. “
Burnett closed the segment by mockingly asking, “Because the reason they think it’s not fair is because someone told them it wasn’t fair and it was fair. So what I ask you do you feel like you have been cheated on and played a little bit about it? “
