Before signing the Executive Orders, President Biden said:

Undo the damage Trump did. There’s nothing new we’re doing here other than restoring the Affordable Care Act and restoring Medicaid to what it was before Trump became president. I think he made it harder for people to qualify for either of those two elements, the affordable, Care Act or Medicaid. And the second mandate I’m going to sign also changes what the President did – the President, the former President did. And a memorandum to reverse my predecessor’s attack on women’s health – excuse me, access to health and while we continue to fight Covid-19. Even more critical, Americans have meaningful access to health care. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

And again, I am not initiating a new law, any new aspect of the law. This goes back to the situation before the President’s Executive Orders. And the first one I’ll sign here is the strength of the Medicaid and Affordable Care Act. Of all the times we need to restore affordability and scale of access to Medicaid, now is in the midst of this crisis. And the second mandate I am signing concerns the protection of the health of women at home and abroad. And it restores the changes made to Title 10 and other things that make it difficult for women to access affordable health care for their reproductive rights.

President Biden is wiping away the political damage Trump has done to the country as quickly as he likely had to wipe the dust off the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office that had been gathering dust since Trump’s election loss.

Biden delivers real change and improves the lives of the American people. Biden did more in a week than Trump did in four years.

Joe Biden is restoring America with the compassion and care it has desperately needed for the past four years.
