Donald Trump Jr. tried to use the John Weaver scandal to attack the Lincoln project only to be destroyed by Steve Schmidt.
Steve Schmidt tweeted in response to potential future convicted criminal Donald Trump Jr:
. @ DonaldJTrumpJr Hey Uday, I would like to take a moment and “talk” to you. @ProjectLincoln clearly condemns John Weaver. I condemn his disgusting, immoral, predatory behavior. As the father of a 14 year old boy, I hope law enforcement will investigate his interactions at https://t.co/FAQ5aEOe9Q

The Lincoln Project gave PoliticusUSA a statement on John Weaver:
John Weaver led a secret life that was built on a foundation of delusion on all levels. He is a predator, a liar and a perpetrator. We express our deepest condolences to those who have been affected by his deplorable and predatory behavior. We are disgusted and outraged that someone in a position of power and trust would use it for these means.
The totality of his delusions exceeds anything any of us could have imagined, and we are absolutely shocked and sick about it. Like so many, we were betrayed and deceived by John Weaver. We are indescribably grateful that John Weaver was never in the physical presence of a member of the Lincoln Project.
John Weaver is accused of molesting 21 men and boys, at least one of whom is 14 years old, with sexual overtures. Unlike Donald Trump Jr., Weaver has yet to be charged with doing something illegal. There is no reason to believe that the Lincoln Project is a gang of predators or grapples.
The Trumps are constantly projecting their properties onto others. John Weaver is accused of doing something terrible, hideous, and possibly illegal.
The Trump family can’t stand not having electricity, and the Lincoln Project particularly irritates them.
Joining Steve Schmidt was another terrible idea from Donald Trump Jr.
