On Friday, Fox Business canceled the show of Lou Dobbs, a longtime supporter of former President Donald Trump.
Now Trump has broken his silence to express his support for Dobbs following this announcement.
Trump praises Lou Dobbs
“Lou Dobbs is and was great,” Trump said in a statement, according to The Hill. “Nobody loves America more than Lou. He had a large and loyal following who will pay close attention to his next move, and that following includes me. “
Dobbs replied by saying, “Thank you for your kind words, Mr. President. God bless you and all of the American patriots who make this country great. “

Fox Business canceled “Lou Dobbs Tonight” despite being the highest rated show on the network. The Los Angeles Times reported that Dobbs “continues to be under contract with Fox News, but most likely will not appear on the company’s networks again.”
Sources said Dobbs’ poor performance with advertisers played a major role in canceling his show.

Smartmatic Lawsuit is the name of Dobbs
Yahoo News reported that another factor was the Smartmatic defamation lawsuit citing Dobbs and other Fox News hosts.
Smartmatic, whose machines were only used in Los Angeles County during the 2020 election, claims attorneys representing former President Trump “made a story about Smartmatic” to discredit its products in support of the claims that Democrats stole the elections.
However, Fox claimed that Dobbs’ show’s cancellation was part of previously planned changes to the network’s programming.
“As we said in October, Fox News Media is regularly considering programming changes and plans have been made to introduce new formats after the election, including for Fox Business,” said a Fox representative. “This is part of these planned changes.”
