Virtually 60% of Individuals assist a $ 15 / hour minimal wage

A new poll found that 59% of Americans support the Democratic plan to raise the minimum wage to $ 15 / hour by 2025.

Reuters reported:

The idea of raising the minimum wage from currently $ 7.25 to $ 15 by 2025 is widespread, according to a Reuters / Ipsos survey. 59% of the respondents said they supported the idea, 34% rejected it.

When asked that “an increase in the minimum wage should lift some families out of poverty, but government economists also expect that it could eliminate some low-income jobs and potentially make some families worse off” , 55% of respondents said they support this.

About 40% of American adults said they would benefit – either personally or through a family member – if the US raised the federal minimum wage.

The American people are not stupid. You know Republicans have falsely warned for decades that raising the minimum wage would destroy jobs, but that’s not true. It was never true. While a small number of people could lose their jobs, the general increase in wages would greatly improve the lives of minimum wage workers.

Raising the minimum wage to $ 15 / hour would lift millions of children out of poverty in the United States. Everyone outside the Republican Party and its leaders understands that the minimum wage is too low.

A minimum wage hike is definitely imminent, and Democrats shouldn’t be afraid to grow up with the American people on their side in the struggle for a living wage.
