WATCH: Jen Psaki closes reporter who needed her to credit score Trump for vaccines

There were many traditions that looked very different during Donald Trump’s presidency. Nothing, however, was as unusual as Trump’s press secretary and the way they acted during briefings.

Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Stephanie Grisham and Kayleigh McEnany have not only been combative to the press, they also lied with ease. The briefings during Trump’s tenure were also far less frequent than ever.

For all of these reasons, Jen Psaki was a breath of fresh air. While she doesn’t mind providing answers with a bit of a cold, Psaki is on the podium almost every day.

On Thursday, a reporter wanted the press secretary to pay tribute to Donald Trump for the development of American vaccines. Psaki was more than ready to shoot down the request, however.

ABC News’ Mary Bruce asked, “The president was pretty critical of the previous administration’s handling of the pandemic, saying you inherited a mess here but when it comes to vaccinations follow part of the same game book here and the previous administration deserves some credit for the move the basis of the pandemic? “

I don’t think anyone deserves credit when half a million people in the country have died from this pandemic, ”Psaki replied. “So we’re focusing on that, and on what the president was focusing on when he took office a little over a month ago, to make sure we have enough vaccines. We’ll have it now. We had enough vaccines and we had enough vaccination centers to bring this pandemic under control. “
