Rand Paul reveals that there is not a lot proof that shutdowns and masks mandates helped

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) went to Fox & Friends on Friday to share his fiery exchange from the previous day with Dr. Anthony Fauci, Chief Medical Officer of the White House.

We reported that Paul and Fauci on Thursday were considering getting people to wear masks even after being vaccinated against COVID-19.

Paul turns off when there are coronavirus restrictions

In his interview, Paul pointed out that there is “no science” that shows that someone who is vaccinated can still get coronavirus. He then defied the left by saying there is “not much evidence” that mask mandates or economic lockdowns did anything to slow the spread of COVID-19.

“I think it depends on the risk factors,” Paul said when asked how effective masks are for unvaccinated people. “When you’re a child, the risk factor of getting this and dying from it is practically zero, so I’m not a big fan of kids wearing masks. I think it’s right for everyone. “

“If you want to send your child to school when they say wear a mask, do it,” he continued. “If you want to send your child to a private school and they don’t wear a mask, I think that’s fine too. I think the risk factors are things that individuals in a free society should decide for themselves. “

Paul doubles

“If you look at all of the mask mandates across the country, when we first introduced the mask mandates, the incidence of the disease rose, especially in December and January. As we grew exponentially and infections increased, everyone was wearing masks, ”Paul added.

“So there isn’t much evidence that mask mandates or economic lockdowns have changed trajectory. The only thing that changes the trajectory is the vaccine, ”he continued.

“So I don’t think people should be made to believe that the mask is the answer,” Paul concluded. “The vaccine is actually the answer, but the mask really isn’t an answer. We had a rampant infection with everyone who wore masks. “
