There are a million differences between the Joe Biden presidency and the Donald Trump presidency. The biggest difference, however, could be the way press conferences are held.
Trump had 4 press officers and each was controversial in its own way. One thing was certain, however, Americans saw far fewer of them than their predecessors.
Biden’s first press officer, Jen Psak, works very differently. Psaki keeps a presser almost every day of the week. And a constant during their squeeze is Fox News’ Peter Doocy, embarrassed by attempting a gotcha question.
Much to Doocy and Fox’s delight, Joe Biden held his first press conference Thursday with reporters in attendance. Doocy barely wanted to go, but the President didn’t call him. Doocy whined about the situation later that day.
The Fox reporter said to Bret Baier:
“I mentioned last night that I had a folder full of questions. We had a lot and most of the things we didn’t get, ”Doocy continued. “Nobody asked him about his big plan, this big idea of completely changing the economy to make everything green. This was something we were hoping to get on the board with and there weren’t many questions about Covid, especially investigating the origins.
