The governor of Arizona indicators regulation to guard the state from federal gun legal guidelines

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey (R) has signed law to protect gun owners in the state from additional federal gun control laws.

The move came just two days before President Biden announced several executive measures – and called on Congress for further legislation – to take over gun control.

The bill, known as the Second Amendment Freedom Act, does not change any current law, but as Ducey explains, it is intended to be “proactive law on what can come out of the Biden administration”.

MP Leo Biasiucci (R) sponsored the bill.

“If the federal government does anything that tries to violate our second amendment in the state of Arizona, we will not abide by it,” Biasiucci told Fox 10 in Phoenix.

Proud to announce that Arizona citizens now have an extra layer of protection in relation to the Second Amendment. My invoice, HB2111, was signed by @dougducey yesterday! 🇺🇸🗽🇺🇸

Arizona opposes Biden’s gun control

Ducey predicted that it would be necessary to fight back against attempts by the Biden government to implement gun control and violate the Arizonans’ rights under the Second Amendment.

“There is a lot of discussion in Washington, DC about Congressional action related to the second amendment, and that bill was just to protect the rights we already enjoy in Arizona,” he told KTAR-FM.

Governor Doug Ducey (R-AZ) says before Biden’s gun control executive measures:

“We’re going to protect the rights of the second amendment in Arizona … whatever [Biden] do it, it probably won’t do anything to solve these mass shootings that we had. “

Ducey’s comments on possible gun legislation, executive action, or congressional laws, as well as any trampling of the Constitution, were rather forward-looking.

On Thursday, President Biden called on lawmakers in his grand arms announcement to review legislation banning “assault weapons” and “high-capacity magazines” and insist that “no amendment to the constitution is absolute”.

“The idea is just bizarre to point out that some of the things we recommend are against the constitution,” Biden said.

BIDEN: “Nothing I am going to recommend will in any way affect the second amendment… No amendment to the Constitution is absolute. You can’t shout “fire in a crowded movie theater” and call it free speech. From the start, you couldn’t own a weapon that you wanted to own. “

Second Amendment Sanctuary

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) hailed Arizona’s new gun protection law as a model for something he would like to implement.

“This is what I’m looking for in Texas – a law that contradicts all new federal gun control laws,” Abbott tweeted. “It will make Texas a Second Amendment Sanctuary State.”

“Legislation in the Texas House and Senate is moving,” he announced. “I’m looking forward to signing it.”

During his February speech on the US state, Abbott urged Texas to become a haven for the second amendment as lawmakers against guns were kept on their toes.

“Politicians from the federal to the local level have been shouting, ‘Damn it, the government is coming to get your guns,'” he said. “We won’t let that happen in Texas.”

That same month, Newton County, Missouri, passed law allowing the arrest of federal agents attempting to violate the rights of its citizens under the Second Amendment.

“Specifically, Section 4a of the Newton County Ordinance gives the Sheriff’s Department full powers to arrest any federal agent who violates state law and enforces regulations that violate the Second Amendment.”

President Biden’s executive actions include calling for restrictions on so-called “ghost weapons” – handcrafted firearms without serial numbers – and for a full report on the arms trade.

The President also directed the Justice Department to publish proposals for state “red flag” legislation.

Red flag laws allow authorities to confiscate firearms from people who are deemed to be a risk to themselves or others without having been convicted of a crime.
