President Joe Biden finally played a round of golf on Saturday, which is a huge departure from Trump, who had 19 golf trips in his first 100 days.
According to the White House pool report provided to PoliticusUSA:
The POTUS motorcade arrived at Wilmington Country Club north of Greenville at 12:58 p.m. Pool couldn’t see the President straight away as we are now pausing in the parking lot.
The Country Club has a well-known golf course. It’s a game Biden has been playing for a long time – but not since he became president.
Pool asks the White House for details about who he’s with and what they’re up to.
The place visible from the pool was full of people playing putti and practicing. Since this was not announced in advance, the appearance of the motorcade was obviously a surprise and we could see club members filming the event on cell phones.
The White House announced the details requested by the press pool: “The White House has announced that Biden’s golf partners are: Ron Olivere, father-in-law of the late Beau Biden, and adviser Steve Ricchetti.”
Trump went golfing 19 times in his first 100 days. Bill Clinton played seven times, Obama played golf once, and George W. Bush had no trips to the golf course in his first 100 days.
So far, Joe Biden has presented the American people with a $ 1.9 trillion stimulus bill, the reversal of numerous unpopular Trump policies, and a COVID vaccination measure that the world envies and the US on economic recovery prepared.
President Biden worked hard for the American people and earned an afternoon that won’t cost taxpayers millions of dollars.
