See the unimaginable new Trump portrait to be on show on the Smithsonian

An incredible portrait of former President Donald Trump will be on display at the Smithsonian Institution’s signature exhibition when it reopens on May 14.

The portrait will be part of the America’s Presidents exhibit, the only collection of presidential portraits outside the White House.

The picture is really something to see.

According to Smithsonian, “The 2019 picture of Trump is one of many captured by award-winning photographer Pari Dukovic while working for Time Magazine. The picture was taken on June 17 after Trump officially announced he would run for re-election. The picture shows him on the edge of a maroon chair with one hand resting on the historic Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. ”

America’s Presidents Exhibition

The America’s Presidents exhibition tells the story of the American Presidency.

Of the Trump portrait, gallery curator Leslie Urena said she believes the portrait has both artistic and historical merits.

“I like the composition of the photo, it’s an angle we don’t see often. You get a bit of the other side and what’s behind the desk. “She added,” We don’t just want to portray the individual, we want to bring as much history and context as possible. “

I’ve seen many, many pictures of Donald Trump and this one perfectly expresses the man in my humble opinion:

The exhibition traces the presidency through time, from “Building the Presidency” and an iconic portrait of George Washington by Gilbert Stuart to the “Contemporary Presidency,” the portraits of Richard Nixon by Norman Rockwell, Bill Clinton by Chuck Close and John F. Kennedy by Elaine de Kooning.

Traditionally there is a place in the exhibition reserved for the portrait of the youngest former president.

The portrait of former President Barack Obama and a portrait of former First Lady Michelle Obama are scheduled to go on tour from June this year to May 2022.

Love and hate for the Trump portrait

The Trump portrait announcement was not without a cold and the usual displeasure of all Trump things.

Anti-Trumpers quickly hit social media and voiced their opinions on the new portrait at the Smithsonian Gallery.

The snark ranged from people who thought the portrait was supposed to be of Trump in an orange jumpsuit, meaning he should be in jail, to inappropriate symbols being dragged over tweets announcing the portrait and the gallery reopening.

I’d rather wait for that portrait to be removed and replaced with one that shows him in an orange jump suit that more closely reflects his presidency. Http://

On the flip side, the supporters had a bit of fun with the announcement and portraits of other former presidents.
