Democratic senators name on Biden to be too free within the border disaster

After President Biden’s speech to Congress, the two Democratic Senators from Arizona responded that the president was not doing enough to combat the surge in illegal immigrants on the US southern border.

Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly both say more needs to be done to reduce the influx of migrants, which has increased sharply since Biden took office.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Kelly said that while Biden raised the issue of immigration reform, he didn’t speak specifically about the situation at the border.

“While I share President Biden’s urgency in resolving our broken immigration system, I have not heard any plan tonight to deal with the immediate crisis at the border, and I will continue to hold this administration accountable for a more humane, orderly process while we work to improve border security, support the local economy, and fix our immigration system. “

Kyrsten Sinema’s office issued a statement that also criticized the Biden administration.

“Sen. Sinema knew that she – along with Senator Kelly – would like to see more government action to deal with the border crisis and support the border communities in Arizona. She spoke directly to administrators about it. “

Break with Biden

Senator Mark Kelly has already broken with the president by calling the border flood a “crisis”, something the Biden administration is not at all ready for.

Politico reports that Kelly has asked the White House to send more resources to support the surge in immigration.

Senator Kyrsten Sinema has teamed up with Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) to resolve border issues.

Both urged Biden to turn to the border.

Illegal alien border crossings hit a 20-year high. Over 172,000 illegal aliens were arrested last month, up 71% from February.

More Democrats speak out

It’s not just Sens. Kelly and Sinema talking about what to see is a crisis on the border.

After recently going to the border with Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) to see the problem for himself, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) said, “Do we have a humanitarian crisis? Yes, we’re doing that.”

Cuellar’s district spans about 200 miles of the US-Mexico border, and it may ultimately be what puts politics above partisanship to get a grip on the surge at the border. Cuellar has also worked closely with Sen. Cornyn and Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX).

Newly-elected Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-TX), whose district includes an 800 mile border in west Texas, says he speaks to Cuellar every day. Gonzaliez says, “The only way to resolve this is not partisan.”

While I respect the presidency, this is an outright lie. The administrator is looking for a reason to explain the crisis they caused. We have informed the transition team several times. https://t.co/a5Egf1FYmp via @nbcnews

Biden’s plan

During his speech on Wednesday, President Biden called on Congress to adopt a comprehensive immigration plan that he proposed, providing a route to citizenship for around 11 million undocumented immigrants, removing restrictions on family-based immigration and expanding visas for workers.
