Seeing that anti-Trump Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney is defeated in her 2022 midterm election is a top priority for Donald Trump, according to a spokesman for the former president.
In an interview published on Saturday, Trump spokesman Jason Miller told the Washington Post that Trump’s political advisors had called Wyoming officials to discuss potential primary challengers to Cheney.

Trump pledges to see Cheney defeated in 2022
Miller said that for Team Trump, the removal of Cheney was “one of the top priorities in terms of primary endorsements”.
Trump didn’t meet with advisors until Monday in Florida to begin analyzing the campaign notes for 2022. This comes from sources close to the former president.
According to these sources, Trump wants to support a single candidate against Cheney. He doesn’t want to split the vote, knowing that multiple challengers would make it easier for Cheney to keep her seat.
Cheney is already in hot water at home in Wyoming to indict Trump.

Trump: Cheney is a belligerent fool
House minority whip Steve Scalise and House minority chairman Kevin McCarthy have signaled that they will support Cheney’s removal from her post.
Scalise and McCarthy had previously defended Cheney when she was tried against Trump for her alleged role in the January 6 attack on the Capitol.
Cheney was a heavy critic of Trump, claiming that the former president’s efforts to question the 2020 presidential election results had harmed the Republican Party and the country.
In response, Trump called Cheney a “warmonger” in a statement.

Trump also claimed Cheney “has virtually no support left in the Great State of Wyoming” and “continues to unwittingly and foolishly that there was no fraud in the 2020 presidential election when the evidence, including the approvals required by lawmakers, is actually the US Constitution shows exactly the opposite. ”
Cheney responded to Trump in a statement for the Washington Post on Wednesday, writing, “Trump is trying to unravel critical elements of our constitutional structure that make democracy work – confidence in the outcome of elections and the rule of law.”
Cheney encouraged Republicans to avoid Trump’s “personality cult”.
