Spokesman Pelosi said on CNN’s State Of The Union, “I heard [The President] let’s say with the Republicans in the room, let’s find out what we can agree on about the infrastructure. Let’s see if we can raise a reasonable amount to do this job, but I have no intention of giving up the rest of my vision of better – Building Back Better. “

In other words, Biden is not going to sell the American people in exchange for saying he has a bipartisan infrastructure contract. President Biden is negotiating in good faith, but the bipartisan deal negotiated by the ten senators is inconsistent with the president’s vision. It leaves the Trump tax cuts on the rich and corporations and pays for the infrastructure by taking COVID aid money away from states.

Republicans and some of their Democratic friends in the Senate don’t get it. Biden and Pelosi are trying to help the working and middle classes, not the rich, and they will not allow rich people to maintain their tax cuts at the expense of everyone else.
