Meghan McCain shocked fans earlier this month when she announced that she would be leaving the ABC talk show “The View” in late July after three seasons. Now new information about her departure from the show is coming to light.
McCain struggled with “backstabbing” on “The View”
Sources say McCain struggled to get along with her liberal co-hosts: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Sara Haines.
“Everyone knows that the ladies couldn’t stand Meghan,” said an insider, according to OK! Magazine.
“The bosses were informed that the ladies were fed up and no longer wanted to work with Meghan,” added the source. “It’s one thing to disagree on the show, but [Meghan] I couldn’t stand the backstabbing when the cameras were turned off. “

“Everyone was running out of wisdom – even Whoopi, and she’s the coolest of them all,” said another source. “Whoopi will never advocate getting anyone fired. It’s not about that, but she was very clear that she no longer wanted to work with Meghan. “
Sources close to McCain said she felt unhappy on the show for a long time.

McCain announces her departure from “The View”
McCain announced her departure from “The View” earlier this month.
“So I’ll just tear the plaster off. I’m here to tell all of you, my wonderful co-hosts and the viewers back home that this will be my last season here on The View, ”she revealed live on the show.
“I’ll be here until the end of July to end the season with all of you, for which I am grateful. It wasn’t an easy decision, ”added McCain. “It took a lot of thought, advice, prayer, and conversation with my family and close friends.”
It remains to be seen who will replace the lonely Conservative on the show.
