Joy Behar initially seemed happy earlier this month when her conservative archenemy Meghan McCain announced she was leaving her ABC talk show “The View”.
However, Behar has reportedly since gone into full panic mode after learning that executives on the show want to find a pro-Donald Trump Republican to replace McCain.
Behar in panic mode
“There’s chaos behind the scenes at The View,” an ABC insider told the Daily Mail. “Joy Behar openly moans about Meghan leaving when she finally realizes that sometimes it’s better, the devil you know. Joy has only just realized that they could bring someone much further to the right on the political spectrum than Meghan, who doesn’t put up with her crap. “
The source went on to say that if ABC executives are brave, they will “shake up massively” and hire a famous conservative like Kimberly Guilfoyle, Megyn Kelly, or even Candace Owens to “give the other women a run for their money”. . “
The insider added that The View had tried several times to hire Guilfoyle, who is dating Trump Jr., while she was working at Fox News.
“[Kimberly] It would be great as she would literally prosecute the other members of the panel every day of the week, ”the source said. “One of our highest rated episodes of all time was when she stopped by the show with Don Jr.. Megyn Kelly would do the same, but her new Sirius deal is making it difficult for her to come to us.”

Tensions mount on “The View”
There is also growing tension behind the scenes of “The View” as co-host Ana Navarro wants to be hired as a permanent replacement for McCain. Showrunners get none of this, however.
“Ana Navarro is furious because she really wants Meghan’s job, but she’s convinced they won’t give her a full-time seat at the table,” the source explained. “Ana doesn’t deserve the chair. She’s not literally a Republican, she just beats up people who voted for Trump. We need to hire a Trump Republican to get more of the available audience at home. Ana is not the person. “

There is currently increasing speculation that co-host Sara Haines will also drop out of the program.
“Everyone is convinced that Sara Haines is also on the way. First, Wendy Williams announced it on her show and then our staff found out we were in talks with Debbie Matenopoulos when they read it on the Daily Mail, ”the insider said.
“Debbie would be the perfect replacement for Sara – she’s fun, engaging, and says what she thinks,” added the source. “She’s also one of the show’s OGs and it might be comforting to have her at the table when the show enters its 25th year and returns to the studio.”

Sara Haines “just doesn’t fit”
“Sara is such a cute person, but she just doesn’t fit and really doesn’t add anything. We often joke that it could be replaced with a loaf of white bread and the audience wouldn’t notice the difference, ”the source continued. “For some reason, ABC moved Sara from show to show. It is now time to remove them from The View a second time. ‘
“The worst thing for Sara is that ABC keeps saying, ‘No, that’s not true, we love you’ and then they stab you in the back and you’re out,” the insider concluded. “If you don’t believe me, ask Star Jones, Jenny McCarthy, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Nicolle Wallace, Michelle Collins, etc., etc., etc. the list goes on and on and on.”
