Meghan McCain said goodbye to ABC talk show “The View” on Friday when she appeared on her final episode of the show.
After looking back on some of her best moments on the show, McCain said her final words as a symbolic conservative on “The View”.
McCain leaves ‘The View’
“Thank you again for the privilege and honor of working on this show for the past four years. It was really amazing, ”McCain said on ABC News. “It will be referenced in everything I do for the rest of my life.”
“It was amazing working with you women,” she added. “The crew, the producers, they all worked so hard and to be honest, the audience gave me four years to give my opinion and show my perspective.”

“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart,” McCain concluded. “And I hope our executive producer Brian [Teta]He can forgive me that his blood pressure has risen as much in the past four years as I probably have. “

Cindy McCain speaks out
McCain’s mother, Cindy, also appeared to talk about her daughter’s time on the show.
“She did a wonderful job. I love your independence. Your father would be so proud, “said Cindy. “I wish her the best in everything she does, but I’m glad she chose a little family over too much work at the moment. This is important.”

Cindy also said Meghan’s late father, John McCain, thought “The View” was a perfect fit for his daughter.
“He was persistent because he thought it would be a good format for her,” said Cindy. “We always called [Meghan] ‘John McCain in a Dress’ when she was little, so we knew she could, and we knew she had the ability to make waves or deal with controversy. “
“It was really his suggestion and idea that she do this if she offered the job,” she concluded. “I know he’s very proud of her right now. I know that it is him. “
It remains to be seen who will be McCain’s successor on the ABC talk show.
